What we collect
To deliver compost pickup service, we collect:
- Your name, service address, phone, and email
- Payment details (handled by Stripe; we don't store card numbers)
- Service preferences (plan tier, pickup day, skip dates)
- Usage data tied to your account: pickup history, pounds diverted
How we use it
- Schedule pickups and route our trucks
- Send account-related emails (receipts, missed pickup notices, schedule changes)
- Generate your personal impact report
- Improve service quality based on aggregate patterns
What we don't do
- Sell your data to anyone: not data brokers, not marketers, nobody
- Share your address with third parties beyond what's necessary to deliver service
- Track you across other websites
Email & SMS
We send transactional messages (pickup reminders, missed-pickup alerts) to phone numbers and emails you provide. We also send a monthly newsletter; you can unsubscribe at any time from the link at the bottom of every email.
Cookies & analytics
We use first-party session cookies to keep you logged into the customer portal. We use basic analytics (pageviews, no PII) to understand which pages people find. No third-party advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@compostnashville.org. We'll respond within 30 days.
